Pankaboard produces high-quality specialty cartonboards. End-users of our products include the food, luxury beverage, pharmaceutical, food-service, graphics and display, and laminate industries. All of our products are produced from virgin fibres. With our wide product offering and exceptional thickness range, we can help you find a solution for your diverse converting and end-use requirements.
We specialise in high thickness folding boxboards and in uncoated cartonboards from two distinctly different board machines, BM2 and BM3.
Pankaboard is the world leader in high thickness folding boxboards, with grammages extending from 275 g/m2 up to an exceptional 560 g/m2. These coated boards are produced on BM2. Typical end-uses are packaging applications requiring high stiffness and excellent printability in combination with cost efficiency in the value chain.
Pankaboard is a significant supplier of groundwood boards, uncoated specialities for various end-uses and applications, as well as solid bleached board for the food and graphical industries. These grades are produced on BM3.
Groundwood boards are highly versatile and especially suitable where significant thickness, purity and bulk are required. Such typical end-uses include display laminates, picture frames, food trays and other technical laminates. Uncoated specialty cartonboards are designed for various segments including cap seals, food service, coasters and ecological packaging. Solid bleached boards are typically used in high-quality picture frames and ovenable trays.
BM3’s unique Condebelt drying technology provides good smoothness and printability in combination with an exceptional bulk.
