Environment
Pankaboard's production is based on renewable rawmaterials and fuels and it aims to minimize all the emissions to air and water as well as any impacts on the soil. Main part of any solid waste is reused or recycled and thanks to this the amount of waste going into landfills is minimized to less than 10% of all the solid waste. With efficient local wood sourcing and bio fuel steam plant environmental impacts and carbon foot print are taken to minimum at Pankaboard.
Pankaboard is commited to both of the major forest certification schemes: The program for the Endorsement of Frest Certification (PEFC) and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Certified management systems for chain of custody of wood based raw materials show that all the wood and fiber used in Pankaboard's products come from legal and sustainable sources and is 100% traceable.

Food Safety
All the board grades produced by Pankaboard Oy are manufactured solely from virgin fibers and all the raw materials used in board production are approved for food contact. There is continuous process and product development work done to minimize raw material consumption and improve product safety.
Pankaboard Oy has certified Food Safety Management System that has been built according to the priciples of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and complies with the requirements ISO 22 000 standard.
