Ian Halliday
Ian Halliday was appointed executive Director in August 2006. Ian Halliday has been the Chairman of the Board since April 2009. Ian was Manufacturing Director and a member of the Board of Mondi Paper Group from 1988 to 1992. Between 1993 and 1996 he held a number of senior positions in the Jefferson Smurfit Group in Spain and Austria. Since then he acted as a senior consultant and project leader on a number of successful projects for Carter Holt Harvey in Australia and New Zealand. He was the CEO of Power Flute 2004 - 2007. He has also been executive Director of Power Flute since December 2004.
Magnus Diesen
Magnus Diesen was appointed non-executive Director in June 2009. Magnus Diesen received a masters degree in paper technology from the Helsinki University of Technology in 1970. Since then he has worked in the forest industry. 1988-2006 he was employed by Stora Enso. 2000-2006 he was based in London as Executive Vice-President and member of the Management Group, in charge of strategy and corporate planning of the company. Presently Magnus Diesen is advisor at the Helsinki University of Technology.
Mikko Heinonen
Mikko Heinonen was appointed non-executive Director in August 2006. Mikko Heinonen is an attorney and a partner of Hannes Snellman Attorneys Ltd and the current head of public mergers & acquisitions practice at the firm. Mikko is a member of the Finnish Bar Association as well as the New York State Bar Association and he holds legal degrees from University of Turku and Harvard Law School. Mikko serves also as non-executive director or as a secretary of the Board for several Finnish public and private companies.
Karl-Johan Lindborg
Karl-Johan Lindborg was appointed non-executive Director in July 2009. Before that he was CEO and President of Map, a paper merchant group owned by M-real, 1999-2008 based in London UK, from which position he retired. He was 1985-1993 pulp and paper mill manager in Rauma Repola (now UPM) and Enso-Gutzeit (Anjala Paper mill). 1993-1996 K-J Lindborg was in charge of Enso´s Fine paper sales and marketing world wide, based in Helsinki. From 1996 to 1999 he was CEO and President of Finnforest (a plywood and building material producer and merchant of Metsaliitto), based in London.
Lauri Junnila
Lauri Junnila was appointed executive director in April 2009. He has been the CEO of Pankaboard since September 2008. Before that he was President of Kemira Pulp & Paper Chemicals (2005-2007) and prior that he held a number of senior positions in M-real and Botnia (1991-2005), including head of M-real Cartonboard division and SVP of Strategy & Finance in Botnia. Lauri holds Masters Degree in Paper and Pulp Technology from Helsinki University of Technology.
